Industry Advisory Groups
Our Industry Advisory Groups (IAGs) provide independent advice and insights from across the various real estate sectors.
The advisory groups
The groups and sectors represented are:
- Compliance officers and supervisors – compliance officers or licensees providing formal supervision to salespeople.
- Rural, commercial and business broking – active licensees specialising in business broking, rural or commercial sales.
- General residential – active licensees in residential sales.
IAG membership
Each IAG has up to ten members appointed for a two-year term. The groups meet virtually at least twice a year to discuss issues of regulatory importance and to provide REA with practical sector insights.
Areas of discussion include:
- Emerging conduct issues within the sector.
- Regulatory interactions with REA.
- Best practice insights.
- Proposals that REA is considering implementing.
REA may also informally consult IAG members between meetings.
